Architecture is the science and art of engineering and designing big structures and buildings. This is a field that mixtures art and science together. 1- Architecture only cares about how the building looks

Students are also taught how to bring environmental sustainability to the spaces they create, so no, architects do not only care about the visual aesthetics of a structure.

2- You need to have good drawing skills

You do not have to have exceptional drawing skills in order to study for this degree. Yes, it is true that drawing is an important part of the study, but it doesn’t matter if the sketches are not good. Their purpose is to only communicate the ideas visually.

3- They only make blueprints

There are numerous things that an architect do as they can be involved in site analysis, site selection, renovation, cost analysis, interiors, or construction management as well. 4- Architects only work alone

As an Architect, you would have to present your ideas to clients and communicate with them to finalize concepts. You would work closely with builders, engineers, and contractors, so this field does not involve you only sitting alone drawing in your office the whole day.

5- This field is for men only

On the surface it might seem like a man’s world due to the constant depiction and popularity of male architects in the media, the gender does not define your interest in the field. Nowadays, women can be seen in every science, engineering, or art-related field.
