Founded in 1997 by Istanbul Marmara Educational Foundation, the university has since established its goal of internationalization. It has signed agreements with 75 universities around the world and is a member of international institutions such as TASSA, IMHE, and ERASMUS. Maltepe University is an environmental university located in the bosom of nature in the charming Asian section of Istanbul. It aims to educate its students not as job seekers but as enthusiastic people.
The university attaches importance to national and international cultural and social activities and encourages its students to compete with their peers in all parts of the world by opening the doors for the exchange of students and academic members to be mobile in European universities. Thereby increasing their academic and professional experience. The university provides a distance learning service with the same characteristics as regular study and the same certificate. The University has student accommodation with all cultural and entertainment ports as well as three meals each day throughout the year.
