Established as a foundation university, Yeni Yüzyıl University first admitted its students in the year 2010-2011, and ever since then, they have flourished immensely. It was created by Vatan Health and Education Foundation which is famous for Vatan hospitals, Italyan hospital, and Alman hospitals. These are considered milestones in Turkish health services and the Universal Health group of Yeni Yuzyil University. The university has been recognized in the following countries: Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Yemen, Libya, and Sudan. The university is also known to have more reasonable fees than other universities starting from, 2000USD.

Foundation, Mission, and Values

Campus

The main campus of the university is located in Topkapı, Istanbul. The “Dr. Azmi Ofluoğlu Campus” has of all the basic needs of a student. This includes health, science, and computer laboratories, a library, a conference room, a dining hall, cafés, and many more.

At Cevizlibağ Campus, many programs are carried out such as medicine, biomedical engineering, molecular biology and genetics, nutrition and dietetics, pharmacy, and forensic genetics are carried out.

The campus in Sütlüce-Halıcıoğlu is mainly for faculty and hospital of dentistry in the European side of Istanbul. The campus consists of an 8-story building with 8 clinics and 60 dental units. Another campus Yeni Yüzyıl University Gaziosmanpasa Hospital which hosts the faculty of medicine located in Gaziosmanpasa hospital. The hospital has 117 polyclinics, 12 surgery rooms, 336 total beds, and 254 sick rooms.

The newest campus is in Şirinevler and carries out the training programs of Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Continuing Education Research and Application Center (YENİSEM)

Competent staff

The vision to become a center of research and development is fulfilled with the experienced academic staff at the university. They have appointed native and foreign experts who are well known in their fields. The training and education are maintained with a total of 589 academicians, 96 professors, 30 associate professors, 65 research assistants, 188 assistant professors, and 22 instructors present in and out of the university.

Quality Education

The university has a total of 10 faculties, 2 vocational schools, and 3 institutes. The faculties consist of approximately 27 departments with 25 associate degree programs. Moreover, the Institute of Social Sciences involves 10 master’s degree programs. The institute of science and technology offers 1 master’s degree program and the institute of health sciences offers a total of 5 master’s degree programs. Additionally, the university also offers 2 doctorate programs.

Students also have the opportunity to receive double diplomas by availing of Double major programs in a department or faculty different from their own field. By meeting the necessary requirements, students can become proficient in various departments.
