Ahmed Shehadeh, a student at Uskudar University majoring in molecular biology and genetics, believes that there are many ways to save money, including shared housing.
Students can save expenses in Istanbul
“When I came to Istanbul the issue of housing was tiring for me, but when I met a group of friends, we were able to reduce housing costs when we rented one house together. I spend approximately $400 a month. The money I save, I usually spend on buying clothes. Another way to save is to use a student transportation card, worth about $7, through which I can ride all public transportation in Istanbul for a month”
Ahmed Shehadeh believes that a student can work and increase his hand in hand with his studies. He advises all students to focus on basic supplies when purchasing, so they can save money. He says that it is very much possible to save expenses, but it is important to budget them monthly to not exceed the budget.
It is possible for a student to save expenses, but it is very necessary to budget in Istanbul.
