Al-Biruni University’s purpose of the Faculty of Health Sciences is to be a leader touchstone for domestic and global research, education and services. Being a thematic university in the field of healthcare, the university aims to render interdisciplinary researches and studies.

Keeping in mind, factors such as developments and technology in the economy, health sciences and industrialization. Along with urbanization, and lifestyle, the university also needs to provide a medium for the students to prosper in these fields. The success of the healthcare in a country gravely depends on the next generation who is taught to be well-trained physicians, midwives, nurses, physiotherapists, and audiologists. The faculty consists of a total of 14 departments that include Dietetics, Child Development, Midwifery, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Emergency Aid and Disaster management, etc. With the establishment of this faculty, the university completes its promises and keeps on progressing. It has become an internationally recognized institution to meet the health needs of society.

Facilities for the faculty

All the departments consisting in this faculty can enjoy numerous facilities provided by the university. This includes a Food and Chemistry Laboratory, Nutrition and Principles Practice Laboratory, Biruni University Language and Speech therapy clinics. Moreover, there is an occupational therapy sensory integration laboratory, physiotherapy and rehabilitation laboratory, skills lab as well. Additionally, the university also has 2 hospitals. One dedicated to dentistry, known as Biruni University Dental Hospital, and the other Biruni University Hospital. So, students are able to practice and train in the university’s own hospitals, so they can further hone their skills.
