Al-Biruni University was created to become a “health-based” university that contributes highly to the academic field nationally. Named after a famous man of science, “Biruni”, the university was founded on the principles of acting and thinking scientifically through research. The university aims to find and train the country’s next generation of Birunis. All in all, this is done by providing the students enough resources to learn and research at the university. However, this also includes the university hospital known as Biruni University hospital and the Biruni University Dental Hospital.

Biruni University Hospital

The university hospital continues to bring live up to its motto of “Turkey’s most comprehensive health university” that serves the students and staff with the latest science and technology. Furthermore, Biruni University Hospital has all the best technology to do advanced diagnose or treatment methods. Likewise, the mission of this hospital is to provide patient-oriented and world-class healthcare with modern information and facilities. Located in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, the students of the university are able to receive first-hand knowledge and experience from the university hospital.

Facilities

The hospital consists of a total of 130 beds and is a 10-floor building. Moreover, there are in total 61 intensive care beds, 5 cardiovascular, 20 general, 4 coronary, 32 newborn and 6 operating rooms.

Biruni University Dental Hospital

Biruni University Dental Hospital in Topkapi Campus has been contributing to the dental and oral health along with research and education studies. Moreover, it strives to be the leading center for dentistry at national and international level. Furthermore, they also aim to train the next dentists of the future. Additionally, the hospital’s infrastructure provides quality service delivery and safe treatment.

Facilities

The dental hospital has a 105 unit capacity with 5 floors. It consists of a CAD/CAM Laboratory, Transparent Plaque R&D center, Prosthesis laboratory along with all the modern technology methods.
