There are some crafts that do not need a college degree to be a successful person. And some jobs have to take a university degree in order to practice the profession, for example, medical and engineering specialties or the law.
With the abundance and ease of sources for learning on social media, especially the courses offered by Google, it has become easy for anyone who wants to learn something. Some people wonder why I study for 4 years of university when I can finish it in several months or a year. But do not forget that you will not be able to cover all aspects like what the university does, and it will not be as accurate and comprehensive. But of course, you can take advantage of these courses offered by these platforms to provide your skills in addition to the university degree.
Does an undergraduate degree affect job opportunities?
There are some fields that do not need a university degree when working in them, and also the experience and talent factor here can overcome university or academic studies, such as the field of graphic design, acting, and many others.
But there are some large companies that prefer having a university degree as a condition for accepting a job, and here the importance of the university degree appears and adds an advantage to the holder.
Is society’s view of those who have a university degree different from those who do not have a university degree?
I think society’s outlook is now not so different as in the past, but it still exists in some cases. In the end, a university degree is not just a piece of paper or proof that you are a successful person in your life. But the university period is one of the best periods and stages that you will go through in your life, a special and important period during which you acquire skills and get to know people and your personality is formed during this period.
