Istanbul Topkapı University was established as a Foundation Vocational School under the name Plato Vocational School by the Council of Ministers. Later on, it was established as Ayvansaray University by the Ayvansaray Education Foundation and is currently Topkapı University.

The university consists of the following faculties: Faculty of Fine Arts, Design & Architecture, Faculty of Economics, Administrative & Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Sport Sciences, the Graduate School of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Plato Vocational School. Currently, it offers excellent training to graduates who want to work as an entrepreneur and have high self-confidence. The students can contribute to the business world. This is because the university can offer 31 undergraduate departments, and 19 master’s and doctorate programs. Along with 59 associate degree programs.

The university has a total of 5 campuses. The faculty of engineering, economics, administration & social sciences, plato vocational school and graduate school are taught in Kazlıçeşme Campus. Likewise, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture in Balat Campus. While the Şişli Campus hosts the departments of Gastronomy and culinary arts and cookery programs. The Levent campus consists of the faculty of sports sciences, whereas the Yenibosna campus has a distance education center.

The university’s values are highly based on producing original models and using pioneering technology. Additionally, protecting cultural heritage, encouraging teamwork among students and helping them to be independent as well.
